The goal of the MyoKinesthetic System is to reduce or eliminate pain and reduce postural compensations. Chronic pain? Headaches? Bladder control issues? Indigestion or heartburn? MYK System restores movement and function while reducing stress on the nervous system. Why try this? Because nothing else has worked. I am a Certified MYK Practitioner, one of only about 200 in the country. You will benefit so call today! I wrote a blog on the MYK System March 2017 so check it out on this website under “Blog”. Please continue reading for more information.
Dr. Michael Uriate D.C. developed the MYK System to re-balance the nervous system, reboot the body and relieve the underlying cause of pain. Certification training for practitioners is rigorous and thorough. I have attended two yearly certification seminars to keep current with treatment updates. I am a very accomplished practitioner and has helped many clients become pain-free or relatively pain-free.
I have also personally experienced the benefits of MYK! Extreme acid tummy problems not resolved with Tums, Zantac, etc. were causing me to have sleepless nights and pain filled days so, after 2 treatments of MYK, I am pain free. No drugs, no muss, no fuss.
Myo = muscle
Kinesthetic = movement
It is a system designed to treat:
- Range of motion restrictions
- Overactive bladder
- Carpal tunnel, tennis elbow
- Low back pain
- Peripheral neuropathy
- Diabetic neuropathy
- Frozen shoulder
- Plantar fasciitis
- Difficulty Swallowing
- Post Stroke Contraction and balance, dropped foot
- Post-surgery for rotator cuff, hip replacement, knee replacement
- Gastric reflux, indigestion, heartburn
- Gallbladder, kidney issues
- Bowel issues: IBS, Crohn’s Disease, Gas, Bloating
Why try this? Because nothing else has worked! You are in pain and traditional methods have not been entirely effective, including physical therapy. And now you have another option-the MYK System. (http://www.myokinesthetic.com) It has been researched and now results are published and accepted in academic circles by the University of Idaho Masters and Doctorate Programs of Athletic Training.
Massage Therapists, Physical Therapists, PTAs, and Chiropractors are integrating this system into their practice. It can take up to 48 hours for a “realized” result, however, most clients will benefit immediately with improvements occurring over the next 48 hours. I am very excited to be on the cutting edge of this healing modality.
I have treated my 87-year-old mother for post-stoke dropped foot and severe upper body posture (leaned to one side). After one lower body treatment, my mother picked up her foot. After treating the upper body posture issues, her heartburn and balance improved. She required several more sessions to help her “hold” her changes. Of course, your results may differ. Check out our blog post on Dynamic MyoKinesthetic System for Pain Relief and its Benefits.
What can you expect during your MYK System session:
Please wear comfortable clothing such as a t-shirt and sweat pants or yoga pants or shorts. I will be looking at your feet without your socks and may be touching your feet. The treatment may be done seated (including in a wheel chair) or laying down. Stillpointe Wellness Center and my treatment room are handicapped accessible.
You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire and list your symptoms and or diagnosis.
How many sessions will you need? It’s suggested that you receive at least 3 sessions the first week and then 2-3 the second week. Ultimately, the goal is for you to be as pain free as possible, restore movement and function, and improve posture.
Initial postural analysis and treatment session $65, and $40 for each subsequent treatment with $5 discount for multiple treatments in the first 2 weeks.
